I just learned that the children's book The Very Hungry Caterpillar will be 40 years old this year. I love this book but never realised it had been around so long. The author Eric Carle will be celebrating his own 80th birthday. There is a pictue of the hungry fellow ( the caterpillar not Mr Carle) in case you don;t know who I mean. If you haven't read this book as a child or to a child you are missing out!

He is collecting butterfly pictures to put on display in the museum for the celebration. For more info check the link.
